 Hello,

My name is Mike Porter. I am a 25-year veteran teacher of Automotive Service Technology!!

After serving my Country for 8 years in the US ARMY as a Combat Engineer, I went to college and received my Degree in Applied Science.

After graduating from college, I went to work in the Automotive Industry in Charlotte, NC. After working over a decade in the industry, I made the move to start my teaching career at STONEWALL JACKSON TRAINING SCHOOL in Concord, NC. This was a lockdown facility for juvenile boys. I spent over a decade teaching these boys the Automotive trade. This was a very challenging BUT rewarding job.

I left Stonewall and came to NORTHWEST CABARRUS HIGH SCHOOL. This was a GREAT move for me. This really feels like my second family here.  I am very pleased to be a part of such a professional and caring school environment.
