My name is Megan Furr and I am one of the Speech-Language Pathologists here at Rocky River Elementary School. I was born and raised in Concord where I attended Cabarrus County Schools. I received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Carolina University. 

My purpose as a Speech-Language Pathologist is to help children produce sounds in words and sentences correctly to improve their intelligbility, understand and express language in the classroom, build problem solving and social skills and increasing verbal fluency. My role involves working directly with teachers to provide classroom strategies and interventions, perform screening and evaluations and provide culturally competent and quality therapy.
