Mrs. Kristen Boyer

Hi! My name is Mrs. Boyer, your new Media Coordinator, and I am so happy to welcome you to the 2022-23 school year! I have always had a passion for all things reading, writing, and history. I cannot wait to share that love and my experience with the students and community of Rocky River. I graduated in 2020 with my B.A. in History from Pfeiffer University. During my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to work for the Walt Disney World resort. I am a big fan of Disney, and try to incorporate Walt Disney's philosophy into my daily life. He once said, "All dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them," and he was right. My dream has always been to work with children and help to ignite the love of reading and learning that was instilled in me at such a young age by many of the librarians and media specialists I encountered throughout my K-12 career and beyond. Now, here I am! Bursting at the seams with excitement for this new adventure. I will continue to work hard at pursuing this dream and continue to grow as an educator as much as possible. In my Media Class we will explore many different books, authors, tech resources, and crafts in our Makerspace. Let's have fun learning in the Media Center!
