Staci Powell

My name is Staci Powell and I am a part time school counselor at RRES.  This is my second year as a counselor at RRES and I love being a Roadrunner!  I have also worked as a full time school counselor for 3 years at Patriots STEM Elementary right down the road and previously worked for 4 years as a high school counselor in Alamance County, NC.  Prior to that I worked in college admissions at Elon, my alma mater.  I earned a dual major degree in Psychology and Human Services from Elon in 1997 and a MEd in School Counseling from Liberty University in 2003.  At RRES, I am working primarily with small groups of students to help them learn and practice social, emotional and behavioral skills aimed at creating the most successful school experience.  I also help with a variety of other school-wide initiatives.  

My husband Vince owns a foundation repair company that I also help with in various ways.  We have four children of our own, ages 17, 15, 14 and 12.  They keep us busy with school, sports, music, church and volunteer activities.  I missed working as a school counselor when I left Patriots several years ago and this part time position allows me the perfect work/life balance.
