Before reading this book, what do you think this book is going to be about based on the title?

    · What do you already know about________?

    · Is this a fiction or non-fiction book? How do you know?

1- Now tell me what this book was about (beginning, middle, and end) They should include at least 2 details for each.

2- What is the main idea of this book? What are the important details that go with the main idea?

3- If a fiction book- Who are the characters? Where is the setting?

4- Turn to page ____, how does the picture help you understand the text (words) better?

5- Draw the events in the story (important details)

6- Draw the characters and the setting.

7- If you were the author, how would you change the ending? Draw or write a new ending to this story.

Thank you for your help at home!
