Welcome to second grade!  I have been a member of the Rocky River family for 19 years.  I am very excited to be teaching on the second grade team as the  DUAL Language Immersion English teacher.   I will be teaching ELA and the Math curriculum in the Roller Coaster Model the county has adopted this year. Over the years,  I have taught third and first grade.    I have implemented the David Fitts Horticultural Garden in the Media Center Courtyard.  This garden would not exist without the financial assistance from the REACH Grant and the CCEF Grants.  In addition, the students have played a major role in the creation of the garden.  Students have built the beds, planted, cared for, and harvested the crops.  Please visit the Horticultural Garden webpage on my site to view pictures.  I do plan on incorporating the garden into the second grade curriculum.  As many students have learned, I am a Mickey Mouse fanatic and I believe in the advice of Walt Disney when he said, "Our greatest natural resource is the minds of our children."
