Mr. Tyler Bouvia

Hi everyone! I am very excited to begin my sixth year at Hickory Ridge High School. I look forward to meeting and interacting with every single one of my students. Through the use of interactive, engaging, and innovative lessons, it is my goal to enable my students to transform into active, positive, and thriving members of our local, national, and global community. I love American History, and I hope to make my passion for the subject evident. Be prepared for a depth of knowledge regarding the subject, corny jokes to help history come to life, and connections of the past to the present to help us improve the future.

I am originally from Syracuse, New York but have since moved to Harrisburg, North Carolina. I graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Adolescent Education in Social Studies. I absolutely love teaching social studies, and I try to show my students that passion each and every day. When I am not teaching, I can usually be found exploring Charlotte, attending various sporting events, spending time with my family, or enjoying a concert!
