Ms. Melissa Thompson

Hello Hickory Ridge High School!  Welcome to the wonderful world of Business, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science & Information Technology. I’m excited to be here!! 

I was born and raised in Mecklenburg County, and I’m a country girl at heart. Sports, gadgets, and learning new things are my first loves. I am a proud resident of Concord, NC, and I have one son who’s a junior at North Carolina A&T University. 

I received my Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University. I have a combination of 15 years of financial and business instructor experience, and this will be my first year at Hickory Ridge.
