Mr. Gregg Giddings

Welcome! I am looking forward to beginning my third year as a teacher and my second year here at Hickory Ridge. I am excited to get a chance at meeting all of my students and getting to work with them in the upcoming semester. Through engaging and interactive lessons, my goal is to expand my student’s knowledge that will help them become active and prosperous members of our local and national community. 

I am a proud product of Cabarrus County Schools, as I attended Hickory Ridge High School as a student and now giving back to my school as a teacher. After high school I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I majored in History and received my teaching certificate. I live here in Harrisburg with my wife Keleigh and our two dogs Athena and Kleio. Harrisburg has always been home to me and I am extremely honored to be able to give back to this great community. 

Outside of the classroom, I am also an assistant football coach here at Hickory Ridge. This is my 7th year as a football coach after spending time at Mount Pleasant and South Rowan. In my free time you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my family and friends. My favorite hobbies include traveling and camping as well as spending time out on the lake.
