16 students from HRHS joined more than 22,000 members from around the globe in Orlando, Florida this past week for the International DECA Conference. The group represented Hickory Ridge well and brought home many achievements! 

- Josiah Young placed Top 10 in the world in the Sports & Entertainment Marketing series. He was also recognized and named on stage as a scholarship recipient from the National Society of High School Scholars

- Brooke Kilts and Jensen Cruce placed Top 20 in the world in the Hospitality Services Team Decision-Making series

- Varshi Elavarasan received a silver test medallion in the Hospitality & Tourism Professional Selling series

- Caleb Senthil received a silver test medallion in the Principles of Marketing series

- Aadarsh Gupta was recognized for placing 3rd in the Knowledge Matters Digital Skills Presentation challenge

- Sharanya Jagarlamudi, Ebony Lott and Adarshana Lakshmi Narayanan graduated from the Emerging Leaders THRIVE Academy

- ALL competitors were recognized for earning proficiency in their series: Josiah Young, Brooke Kilts, Jensen Cruce, Pranav Kotte, Adarsh Ramanujam, Madhan Ramesh, Keshav Saxena, Deepsitha Gangadi, Prathysha Ravi, Christina Kondru, Caleb Senthil, Sarah Isabel and Varshi Elavarasan
