Ms. Alison Howie

Welcome to Ms. Howie's English I, English III, or Creative Writing class! I am looking forward to working with all of you and making this year one of the best! Just a few things about me that you may like to know --  I am a lifelong resident of Cabarrus County and former Ragin' Bull. I spent 6 of my years at Hickory Ridge as our JV Cheerleading coach. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelors of English and a Bachelors of Education. I have been lucky enough to be both published and featured within a North Carolina Poetry Society, and writing is a huge passion of mine. The rest of my hobbies include reading, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with my dogs, Ruby and Samson.
