Mrs. Abby Pagels

Hello! I am a first year teacher. I graduated in December 2022 with my Elementary Education B.A from UNCC. I am originally from Charlotte, NC - but was raised primarily in Central Florida. Being one of seven I am use to lots of humans around at all time making an elementary classroom a good fit for me. In addition to loving a room full of people, my three fur-babies at home and my husband, I have a passion for teaching. 

First and foremost, I believe our classroom is a community. One thing I absolutely love about teaching is being able to sit front and center to the lightbulb effect and the challenge is takes for us to get there. That bridge between defeat to confidence is a special piece of life to watch. As a first year teacher - I can't promise each day won't be a learning opportunity for myself or that I won't make many mistakes along the way, as I learn along side your children. But I can promise a safe learning environment for my 2nd grade class to develop the love and joy of learning. I can't wait to get to know all of you and rock the remainder of this 22-23 school year!
