Mrs. Barbara Hinrichsen Dual Language Teacher

Hello! Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Barbara Hinrichsen. I am from Chile and I am very excited to be teaching on the fourth grade team as the Dual Language Immersion Spanish teacher. This year we will be using the "Rollercoaster" model for Dual Language. Students will come to my class for Spanish Language Arts (SLA) and Math, and will go to Mrs. Seaman's class for English Language Arts (ELA), Social Studies and Science.We will rotate classes on a daily basis.

I was born and grew up in Santiago,Chile and graduated in 1982 from Catholic University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-6.

This is my thirty-second year of teaching. I have spent the last seven years teaching in fourth grade and this will be my first year teaching at Rocky River Elementary School. 

I am happily married,have three adult children and a granddaughter.This is a very special and exciting moment in my professional life as it is the first time I will be teaching outside my homeland.

I am looking forward to all of the wonderful things I hope this year will bring along for all of us.
