The Minerva DeLand School is challenging students to ‘LevelUp, LogIn’ in an effort to improve (‘Level Up’) their remote engagement (‘Log In’) this school year.
The school is striving to increase connectedness and engagement with remote learning. So, in an effort to have fun, teachers will measure engagement for each class with a system created by staff.

The Fairport Central School District will join organizations throughout the country in observing the 2021 National Day of Racial Healing, Jan. 19.
The following three virtual events are open to the community as part of the District participation in the event:

Next week’s Jan. 19, 2021 Board of Education Meeting will be streamed LIVE beginning at 6:30 p.m., through the District’s YouTube channel. Children who will be five years old, on or before Dec. 1, 2021, are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year at Fairport Central School District. The District is encouraging parents/guardians to register their child during Kindergarten Registration, which begins at the end of January.
Parents will need to register at the school that their child will attend (see below for specific information for each school).

Dear Fairport Community:
Yesterday afternoon we were all receiving multiple alerts and text messages of the protests and unrest at our Nation’s Capitol. Since then, the news outlets and social media feeds have been surreal, sharing unearthly footage of the desecration of the United States Capitol Building.
Fairport dedicated its Dec. 23 conference day for faculty, administration and staff to provide a shared vision of Fairport’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Other goals for the day focused on the following:
This school year, Minerva DeLand created a Student Leadership group for students have a safe place to have conversations comfortably with each other.
The group serves as an idea-generating group in which conversations are ongoing instead of a one-time occurrence. Particularly, the focus of the team is to engage in conversations on race and actions plans for how we can grow together to become better allies for all members of the MD Family.
In addition to the District’s social media presence (see under ‘quick links’ on our homepage to view us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube) many of Fairport’s schools are on one or more social media sites.
Special thank you to FHS Music Teacher Bill Tiberio and his students for their dedication and efforts to this assembly each year. The Holiday Jazz Assembly has been an annual tradition since the early 1990’s!
