Children who will be five years old, on or before Dec. 1, 2021, are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year at Fairport Central School District. The District is encouraging parents/guardians to register their child during Kindergarten Registration, which begins at the end of January.
Parents will need to register at the school that their child will attend (see below for specific information for each school).
The registration packet is available at fairport.org/registration. If you are new to the District or do not know which school your child will attend, call the Registrar’s Office at (585) 421-2009.
Transportation
All daycare transportation requests must be returned to the Transportation Office no later than April 1, 2021. The address is 860 Ayrault Road, Fairport, NY 14450. If you are unsure of your daycare needs, you may indicate that on the transportation form but it still needs to be turned in by the deadline.
Parent Orientation
Like last year, Kindergarten Parent Orientation will remain a virtual experience for Dudley and Jefferson Avenue Schools. A link to a virtual presentation will be made available in the Spring. Likewise, Kindergarten screening will take place once school begins in the fall.
Brooks Hill’s Save the Date for Orientation is May 19, 2021 (this may need to be altered or canceled due to COVID-19).
Brooks Hill – In-person registration – no appointment is necessary
Wednesday, Jan. 27: 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 3: 9:30 – 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
The parent/guardian present will need identification and completed forms to complete the registration process. While at least one parent is required to be present at registration, the child does not need to be present. Dudley – Drop-off only any time before March 1, 2021
Parents/guardians of incoming kindergarteners are asked to submit completed registration paperwork by any of the following ways by March 1, 2021:
- Fax documents to (585) 421-2328
- Scan and email documents to lszulgit@fairport.org
- Place documents (with the checklist on the front) in the provided envelope from the school and safely drop off at the locked drop box located outside the main entrance to Dudley School, 211 Hamilton Road.
If you do not have access to technology or a copier and need copies made, you may make an appointment to come to the Dudley main office to have copies made for you on any Wednesday during the month of February (Feb. 3, 10, 17 or 24). Additionally, if your child has any medical or health issues that need to be brought to the attention of our nurses, please call the Health Office directly at 421-2157 or 421-4648 to schedule a time to meet in person on a Wednesday in February (see dates above), or to schedule a phone conference.

Jefferson Avenue – Drop-off only any time before March 1, 2021
Parents/guardians of incoming kindergarteners are asked to submit completed registration paperwork by any of the following ways by March 1, 2021:

- Place documents (with the checklist on the front) in the provided envelope from the school and safely drop off at the locked drop box located outside the main entrance to Jefferson Avenue School, 303 Jefferson Avenue.
If you do not have access to technology or a copier and need copies made, you may make an appointment to come to the Jefferson Avenue main office to have copies made for you on any Wednesday during the month of February (Feb. 3, 10 or 24).
