The Minerva DeLand School is challenging students to ‘LevelUp, LogIn’ in an effort to improve (‘Level Up’) their remote engagement (‘Log In’) this school year.
The school is striving to increase connectedness and engagement with remote learning. So, in an effort to have fun, teachers will measure engagement for each class with a system created by staff. Classes will earn engagement points that will be added to the school’s total toward its goal.
“Change is here, we are going through the pandemic, but now let’s grow through the pandemic,” said Principal Dominic Monacelli.
If the school accomplishes its building-wide goal focused on remote learning engagement, it will celebrate with a teacher/student ‘Among Us’ extravaganza in which five teachers and five students will play the Among Us game that will be live streamed to all students and staff on a remote learning day during the mid-day break. Students and staff are working together to build this initiative. Students who ‘LevelUp’ with remote learning engagement will be eligible to enter a raffle to participate in the game.
