One longtime Fairport Central School District administrator has announced she will retire after the 2017-18 school year. Northside Elementary School Principal Carolyn Shea will retire after 42 years in education – 20 of those years in Fairport – on June 30.

The Fairport Central School District has appointed Erin Moretter as the new principal of Northside School. Moretter has been serving as the assistant principal of Northside for the past four years.
Superintendent Brett Provenzano said that students benefit from Moretter’s kindness and enthusiasm, families are reassured by her welcoming presence,
