Fairport Central School District

Erin Moretter

The Fairport Central School District has appointed Erin Moretter as the new principal of Northside School. Moretter has been serving as the assistant principal of Northside for the past four years.

Superintendent Brett Provenzano said that students benefit from Moretter’s kindness and enthusiasm, families are reassured by her welcoming presence, and staff appreciates her commitment to cultivating positive, collaborative and productive learning environments.

“Mrs. Moretter has established herself as a servant leader whose passion for the art and craft of teaching only rivals her love for Fairport and Northside,” said Superintendent of Schools Brett Provenzano. “Ultimately, students, staff and families will benefit from her irrepressible spirit and the infectious positive energy she exudes.”

Moretter has been at Northside School since 2000, serving as a classroom teacher, math specialist, lead teacher, and most recently as the assistant principal since 2014.

As a life-long resident of Fairport, and former Northside student herself, Moretter said she is honored to serve the Northside community as its new principal.

“I have a tremendous amount of pride and love for our school district; we are fortunate to work with incredible students and supportive families,” she said. “My goal is for students and staff to be excited to walk through the doors of Northside every morning.”

Moretter will begin her new position on July 1. She replaces Carolyn Shea, who will retire at the end of June after serving in the role for 20 years.
