Fairport High School MasterMinds team finishes second in regional playoffs, wins Rochester League 10

The Fairport High School MasterMinds Team finished second in the Rochester Regional Playoffs. The team went 8-2 in the playoffs, losing only to Brighton (twice). Henry Stringer was named to the All Tournament Team and Henry and Connor Quimby were named League 10 all stars.

MasterMinds is a quiz bowl-style academic competition for high school students.

Residents approve 2019-20 school budget

Residents in the Fairport Central School District approved the 2019-20 budget on May 21, 2019. Voters also approved the proposition and elected board members, along with approving the library budget and electing a library board trustee.

School Budget Vote & Board of Education Election is May 21

Fairport Central School District residents will go to the polls on Tuesday, May 21 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Johanna Perrin Middle School.

Budget highlights include:

  • The $132,199,783 total budget is a 2.47% increase over the prior year’s budget
  • The budget is in compliance with the Property Tax Cap
  • The estimated tax rate is a projected $22.77,
