Fairport athletes raise donations for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Fairport volleyball athletes wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Fairport athletes are supporting the fight against breast cancer by raising funds and awareness for a local treatment center. The Fairport Varsity boys and girls volleyball teams went all in to raise funds for Pluta Cancer Center for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The two teams collected $1,000 to donate to Pluta by selling pink shirts recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Capital project construction continues at Fairport High School

High Risk Winter Sports Registration & Start Dates

Dear Fairport CSD Parents/Guardians:

We have direction from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the Governor’s office as well as the Monroe County Department of Health that we may begin high risk sports this winter. There is a tremendous amount of guidance surrounding the safety measures that the Monroe County Public School Athletic Conference (MCPSAC) and Fairport CSD must undertake to have student athletes practice and play in as safe an environment as possible. The Fairport Central School District has received information that Governor Cuomo and New York State, with the approval from county health departments, have been given the green light for high-risk winter sports to begin February 1. Our District will be coordinating with the Monroe County Department of Public Health and our athletic league to gather specific information and communicate it to you as soon as it becomes available.

Athletic News and Information – Winter Season Update

Fairport Central School Families,

We have received direction from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the NYS Governor’s Office that we may begin a Winter Season for moderate and low risk sports.  With this being said, there is a tremendous amount of guidance and protocols surrounding the ‘COVID-19’ safety measures that we must adhere to in order for interscholastic student-athletes to practice and compete safely.
