Dr. Monica Lee-Currie

Welcome to Concord Middle IB World School. It feels great joining the CMS Family as the new Math and Science Instructional Coach.  I have spent the last 19 years as a high school math teacher in several school systems, with a prior stint of 10 years with Cabarrus County Schools.  My last five years have been spent as a grade 6-12 math and science teacher and Math Department Chairperson within the Department of Juvenile Justice.

 

Outside of school, I enjoy assisting non-profit organizations and small businesses with grant-writing and program development, as well as fishing and writing with my dad.  We recently published a book of poetry and short stories.  I have a 31 year old daughter, Courtney, who played basketball and volleyball at CMS, and captained the 2008 Concord High School Lady Spiders State Champion Basketball Team.

 

My goal is to implement creative and unique instructional opportunities and strategies that will promote overall student success here at CMS.
