Hello Miner Family!! I am excited to be your Assistant Principal at Concord Middle School. I am a native of Concord, NC and a former student of Cabarrus County Schools, from elementary to high school.  I received my undergraduate degree in Communication Studies followed by a Masters in Elementary Education in 2009, both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

I began my educational career in 2010 teaching 1st grade in Columbia South Carolina and joined Cabarrus County Schools in 2013 as a 2nd grade teacher at W.M. Irvin Elementary.  After being in the classroom for several years, I decided to take my teaching career outside of the classroom, into a leadership role.  I attended Queens University and received my 2nd Masters in Educational Leadership.  After earning my degree, I became Irvin’s Behavior Coach for 3 years.  In August of 2020, I joined the WR Odell Primary family as their Dean of Students.

I have a wonderful husband, Brooks and two children Tristan and Emeri.  During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising, and traveling.  I am honored to be a part of the Concord Middle School family and I look forward to continuing the success of all students and their families.

It is not what is poured into a student that counts, but what is planted.
