Mrs. Linda Berry

"Fish for a man he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat forever." Let us eat forever together!

Hello, my name is Linda Berry and although I am new to Concord Middle, I am not new to teaching. I was a retired teacher that had taught for 25 years. During my career, I have taught math and science ( only 3 years) but I found out that I absolutely love math. Math, to me, is a subject that is almost constant. When variables of life are thrown in, it may get tough but it will simplify if you keep going.

I am a mother of three children, a step-daugher, a son-in-love, and three grandbabies who call me Duchess. I was born and raised in North Philadelphia and went into the Air Force when I was 19. I was stationed in Texas, Illinois, Michigan (which was so cold that the wind chill factor was -40 degrees, Germany, and Myrtle Beach. I can speak German a little but I can count to 100,000,000. I worked in the Commissary, which is the military base grocery store. I worked in the warehouse, drove a forklift (while knocking over shelves, the front desk, a cashier, and a meat cutter. I was also a Meteorologist and loved talking to pilots about the weather, filling in the maps and looking for weather on the radar.

I am so excited to be here as a Miner and look forward to meeting all of you this year. Let's make some memories (some may be good, some not so good) that will help us learn and grow. I am learning from you while you are learning from me.

My motto this year is this: "A change in my attitude has the power to change my day!".
