Mr. Alex Canup

Alex Canup is an alumni of Concord Middle and High Schools. He participated in many clubs and activities including Tri-M Music Honor Society and the Concord Marching Spider Band. After graduating from Concord High, Mr. Canup attended Western Carolina University to study music education. While at WCU, Mr. Canup was a part the WCU Symphonic Band, WCU Wind Ensemble, the Balsam Mountain Honors Brass Quintet, and Pride of the Mountains Marching Band. Mr. Canup played the tuba in all of these ensembles, well except that one time he played the banjo in the Wind Ensemble (ask him about it.)
