Hello, everyone! I'm Laura Warr, your trusty School Library Media Coordinator. I have been part of the Maverick Family since 2013, coming to the library after three years of teaching here (and seven years teaching total). I'm thrilled to be serving you in the library, and I can't wait to help you find the resources you need for research, entertainment, and collaboration!

My favorite kinds of books are realistic fiction and historical fiction, though I have favorites in nearly every genre (no horror - I get scared too easily). I also love reading articles and using the #RidgeBUILDERS process to help me find information and hone my ideas.

I have way too many interests to list, but things I do outside of school are: cook using my sense of smell, kayak lakes with my husband, listen to podcasts about history/politics/ideas, design digital content, and READ!

Did you know that I haven't always loved reading? In fact, I used to get anxious and panic when I thought about going to a library. Ask me about it sometime - because there's a place for "non-readers" here, too. Everyone is welcome.
