Ms. Laura Warr
Hello, everyone! I'm Laura Warr, your trusty School Library Media Coordinator. I have been part of the Maverick Family since 2013, coming to the library after three years of teaching here (and seven years teaching total). I'm thrilled to be serving you in the library, and I can't wait to help you find the resources you need for research, entertainment, and collaboration!
My favorite kinds of books are realistic fiction and historical fiction, though I have favorites in nearly every genre (no horror - I get scared too easily). I also love reading articles and using the #RidgeBUILDERS process to help me find information and hone my ideas.
I have way too many interests to list, but things I do outside of school are: cook using my sense of smell, kayak lakes with my husband, listen to podcasts about history/politics/ideas, go to Kannapolis Cannon Ballers baseball games, design digital content, and READ!
Did you know that I haven't always loved reading? In fact, I used to get anxious and panic when I thought about going to a library. Ask me about it sometime - because there's a place for "non-readers" here, too. Everyone is welcome!

Welcome to Hickory Ridge Middle School! I am Mrs. Eason and I am very excited about the school year. This is my 16th year in education and every year just gets better. This is going to be an excellent year and I look forward to getting to work with you!
Here's a little about me...I live in Harrisburg, NC with my husband and three beautiful girls. One of them is a sweet chihuahua named Sugar which I'm sure your children will hear all about during our time together. We love to play board games together and go to the mountains to ride four-wheelers. I also love to draw and create when I have time.

Hi Mavericks! I am originally from Charlotte, NC and moved to Kannapolis after college. I graduated from the Livingstone College in Salisbury (Go Blue Bears!). I started my time in Cabarrus County Schools at HiRMS and am really excited to be a Maverick again!
I enjoy spending time with my family, thrifting, my English Bulldog Pharaoh, finding new places to dine, and I love Photography. (Can you tell my photo's background has been Photoshopped?) Reading is my jam, and I am excited to get to encourage students to develop and foster a love for literacy! My favorite kinds of books are biographies, drama, historical fiction, and realistic fiction. I also love listening to podcasts and watching documentaries.
