• If you have a STRONG command of your academic subjects, a passion for popular culture, and a love for trivial pursuit...PLEASE put your smarty pants on and join the Hickory Ridge National Academic Quiz Bowl Team!  Your coaches  this year are Mr. Platt and Ms. Raines in 8th grade, and Mr. Canosa in 7th grade. Quiz Bowl is open to 7th and 8th grade students only!! Please be aware that Quiz Bowl is a once a week after-school commitment, as well as additional weekly practices beginning in January.   You must provide your own transportation for our competition at the beginning of March.  At the end of our season we will also have a competition between our team and some of your favorite teachers and administrators!!  You will need to purchase a team shirt for $15 and we will collect a $15.00 team fee for practice snacks. A water bottle is also strongly recommended.  Please contact Mr. Platt or Ms. Raines by email if you have any questions.
