As I have starting looking into research on the brain and how cell phones and social media are affecting brain growth and function, I grow more concerned that we as educators need to be mindful of how we and our students are using technology. Research shows that constant phone and social media use are not only causing us to be less productive, but may be impeding our learning and long term memory.
