Welcome to Second Grade!
My name is Earle Ashbaugh. From a very young age, my only goals in life were to be a teacher and a mom. I began by teaching secondary social studies in Charleston, SC, which is where I grew up. Mr. Ashbaugh and I moved to Concord in 1995 to be near his parents. We are the proud parents of three grown children - Erin is 24 and will marry Austin in October, Sarah is 23, and Gavin is 19. All of our kids attended school at Carl A Furr, so I truly have a vested interest in our school. After a number of years working at Furr as a substitute, I extended my certification to include Elementary Education (K-6) and quickly found myself in second grade. This is my 8th year in second grade here - I have definitely found my home here! I look forward to a wonderful year in second grade!
