Ms. Kelsey Harris

My name is Ms. Harris and I am a 2nd grade teacher here at Carl A. Furr Elementary. I grew up in a close-knit, small town located in Anson County, N.C. I attended UNC-Charlotte where I graduated with honors in 2019, with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Minor in Children's Literature and Childhood Studies. I completed my student teaching in 2nd grade here at Furr, and then moved back to my hometown where I taught 2nd grade for 3 years at the same elementary school that I attended as a child. I recently moved back into the area and I am so thrilled to be a part of the Furr staff! I am looking forward to this school year with your child and working with you to support, love, guide and encourage them as they grow into the best versions of themselves both inside and outside of the classroom! I can't wait to get to know each one of you and watch your child SOAR in 2nd grade!
