Welcome to Third Grade!
I am excited about starting the 2022-23 school year! I have been at Furr since we opened in 2007 and all but the first 2 years were in 3rd grade! This will be my 16th year of teaching! I hold a Master's Degree in K-6 Education from UNC-Charlotte and am National Board Certified in Early/Middle Childhood Literacy. I absolutely love teaching and learning every day. I am happily married to Todd and have 2 grown sons and 2 crazy dogs. Aside from teaching, I enjoy playing with my dogs, reading, hiking and spending time with my husband in our mountain cabin on the weekends.
Most of my communication with parents is through BLOOMZ.

In that case, leave a message with our school secretary and she will be sure I get it. I do not always get to check messages during the school day.
A non-urgent message, however, is best through Bloomz or email. I answer messages within 24 hours of receipt.
