Karen Andrade
WELCOME TO 5TH GRADE!
My name is Karen Andrade and I am excited to begin my fifth year at Furr Elementary and my first year as a Traditional 5th Grade Teacher! My teaching experience expands from K-12 to college, making this my 21st year in the field of education. I am originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, and 5 years ago my Family and I moved to Cabarrus County. I have also lived in Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
Every year my goal as a Teacher is to build a classroom community that will encourage students to develop self-efficacy and leadership skills, which will serve as the foundation to achieve their academic and personal goals. In order for this to happen one key element is to maintain an open communication and work as a TEAM!
I am very excited for this new challenge and can't wait to meet you and begin our journey together!
Welcome to #the5thgradechronicles !
