PTAs & PTSAs Presenting Free Movie on the Effects of Screen Time - April 30

On April 30, the district's PTAs and PTSAs are co-sponsoring a free viewing of the movie "Screenagers" for the community at 7 p.m. in the Baker High School auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served. This is a powerful hour-long movie about teenagers and the effects of "screen" time (social media, video games, etc.) on their development and how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. The movie is appropriate for students in grades 6-12.

Pre-registration is preferred but not required. To sign up for the screening, please visit https://impactflow.com/event/presented-by-baldwinsville-central-school-district-ptas-ptsas-10496

Ray 7th Graders Use Math to Create Art

Ray Middle School seventh-graders taking art with teacher Debra Lynch recently created ceramic succulent flowers based on the Fibonacci Sequence – each number in a sequence is the sum of the two numbers that precede it. Students used the Fibonacci Sequence to plan how they would create a spiral pattern, as seen in nature, in their sculptures.
