27 STUDENTS TO COMPETE IN REGIONAL WRITTEN SPELLING BEETwenty-seven Baldwinsville Central School District students will compete in the regional written bee of The Post-Standard | Syracuse.com | WCNY Spelling Bee. The regional written bee takes place on Saturday at Christian Brothers Academy. The 35 top scorers on the written bee will compete in the oral spelling bee on Feb. 29, 2020. The oral spelling bee will be televised on WCNY. ONONDAGA COUNTY EXECUTIVE RYAN MCMAHON VISITS REYNOLDSIt will be seven or eight years before Reynolds fifth graders will be able to vote, but on Tuesday they got the opportunity to interview Onondaga County’s top official. Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon visited the elementary school to talk about government and civic participation. Kathryn Martin, a fifth grade teacher, arranged the assembly. HERE'S AN UPDATE RAY, DURGEE STUDENTS SELECTED TO PERFORM AT JUNIOR HIGH ALL-COUNTYSix Ray Middle School students and 37 Durgee Junior High School students were selected to perform at the 2020 Junior High All-County Music Festival for band, orchestra and chorus. The festival will be held Jan. 24 and 25 at Solvay High School. The Onondaga County Music Educators Association sponsors the festival. BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETS MONDAY, JANUARY 27, 2020The Baldwinsville Central School District Board of Education will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Durgee Junior High School cafeteria. All members of the community are invited to attend the meeting. Meeting agendas and related materials are posted the Friday before each meeting athttps://go.boarddocs.com/ny/bville/Board.nsf/Public. The Audit Committee Meeting will be held before the Board of Education meeting. The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Van Buren Elementary School library. |
