COMING SOON - A New Way to Purchase Tickets

Coming this February, there will be a new way to purchase tickets for Baldwinsville school theatrical productions.
 
As of February 1, 2019, the district will be using Ticketleap, an online system that will make it more convenient for community members to buy their tickets and select their seats for productions in the Baker High School auditorium. Click HERE for more information.
 

Girls Volleyball Honored With Local Award

Congratulations to the girls varsity volleyball team and Coach Mary Jo Cerqua for receiving the Syracuse Sports Corporation's Fall 2018 Believe to Achieve Barbara Henderson Female Team Award in a ceremony at Le Moyne College on 1/9/19! GO BEES!!!

State Approves Baker Kitchen Remodel

Earlier this month the district received notification from the state that our plans for the remodel of the Baker High School kitchen (part of the 2016 capital project) were approved. We expect work to begin on the remodel in June and be completed by this November. Click Here to watch a short video of the plans.


Kindergarten Registration Scheduled for March 14, 2019

Kindergarten open registration for the 2019–2020 school year will take place at the elementary schools in the Baldwinsville Central School District on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Registration will take place at the elementary school of the student’s current attendance area for his or her home address. Families currently in the district student database will receive an informational email by the first week of February. For more information click HERE.

Fifth-Graders Share a Meal with District Role Models

Fifth-graders at Van Buren Elementary School celebrated the new year with some district role models over a spaghetti dinner held in the school cafeteria.

Board of Education Meeting Update

January 7, 2019
 
The Board honored students who were selected to perform at the NYSSMA All-State Music Conference.
 
Dr. Jody Manning, Superintendent of OCM BOCES, provided the Board with an update on BOCES services available to districts. For the evening’s leadership report, Eric Wilson, Director of Staff Relations/School Attorney, discussed researching character education programs to be used by the district’s athletic teams.
 
The Board reviewed the debt service and transportation components of the proposed 2019-20 budget. Christopher Campolieta, Director of Athletics, gave a presentation on the athletic portion of the 2019-20 budget, and James Rodems, Assistant Superintendent for Management Services, gave a presentation on the administrative component.
 
The Board approved the following:
 
*Resolution appointing Tiffany Turner to fill duties of the prior deputy-purchasing agent;
 
*Appointment of a parent member to the CSE and CPSE committees;
 
*Trip requests for Baker musicians to travel to the area all-state music festival; the girls softball team to travel to Myrtle Beach over spring break; and the girls lacrosse team to travel to Nashville for spring break; and
 
*Disposal of surplus instructional material from Ray and Reynolds.
