District to Conduct Simulated Active Shooter Scenario on Friday, November 9

On Friday, November 9, the Baldwinsville Central School District will hold a planned, simulated active shooter scenario at Baker High School as part of its safety and security training for district staff. The simulation is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. The training will be provided in conjunction with Armoured One and local law enforcement and emergency services agencies.
 
Friday is a half-day of school for all students; no students will be on campus or in any of the district’s schools that afternoon. The safety training is for staff only. No students or community members will be allowed on campus during the simulation. Read more by clicking HERE.


Boys Varsity Soccer is the Class AA Regional Champion

Congratulations to the boys varsity soccer team on winning the Regional Championships for Class AA against Christian Brothers Academy, Albany on November 3. The team moves on to the state semifinals on November 10 at Middletown High School  in Middletown, NY at 4 p.m. GO BEES!!!


Girls Volleyball Wins Sectionals for 11th Consecutive Year

For the 11th consecutive year and the 21st time, the girls varsity volleyball team won the Section III Class AA title on November 3 against F-M. The team is scheduled to play Shenendehowa in the state regionals on November 10 at Gloversville High School at 2:00 p.m.


Board of Education Update

November 5, 2018 Meeting
During the Board Spotlight, the Board honored students who are National Merit Commended Students and a National Merit Semifinalist, as well as two teachers who were named NYS Master Teachers.

The Board heard the following reports:
*External Auditor’s Report
*Therapy Dog Update
*Ray Middle School’s and Palmer Elementary School’s Strategic Action Plans

Several policies were also presented to the Board for a first reading.

Reynolds' Rainbows

We spotted this double rainbow at Reynolds Elementary School on November 6 after the school day ended. A nice way to end the day in B'ville!
