- Your book selection should address one or more of the following aspects related to any given time period/event/individual: politics, social change, reform, “life during…”, etc.
Tips:
- After you have specifically selected a book in Destiny Quest, look to the bottom right corner of the page for the “You May Also Like…” suggestion box and the recommended/related titles in it.
- If we don’t own a book you want to read, please ASK!!! The FHS library can borrow titles from other local libraries in our area.
Memoirs & True Narratives: Nonfiction that reads like fiction! Lists on the page are arranged by subject area, but new titles are added monthly so check Destiny Quest for additional selections.
Overdrive: (additional ebooks and digital audio books)

- Select ‘Fairport Central Schools’ from the drop-down menu
- Login with your network username & password
- Search for a book in digital and/or audio format
- Download checkout (READ format ebook or MP3 audio book) to a personal device
- OR if you don’t have a personal device, download checkout (READ format ebook or MP3 audio book) into the cloud; you will then be able to access it from any device by going back to the BOCES Overdrive website and logging in

- Adobe Acrobat Reader free download required on a personal device
