FHS AFCU Raider Credit Union

Raider Credit Union

Banking on Success

In 2019, Fairport School District partnered with Advantage Federal Credit Union to create a student run credit union because both share a passion for financial literacy. This school year, the on campus branch will be closed due to Covid guidelines and restrictions.  The credit union is committed to the students and instead will focus on Education and Enrichment as part of the FIDM & Business after school club.  Some of the topics we will cover will include:

  • Building a budget
  • Establishing credit; understanding your credit score and what it means to your future
  • Using mobile payment services like Venmo vs. a checking account
  • We will even be managing and organizing full service promotional projects that will include collaborating with clubs, and sports like the Red Zone and the AFCU Scholarship.

This is an amazing opportunity for students to have real-life hands-on experience of creating a marketing campaign from the ground up.
