Fairport Forward Update

Dear Fairport community, 

Thank you for coming out to vote on the proposed Fairport Forward 2022 Capital Improvement Project. 

The proposed Fairport Forward 2022 Capital Improvement Project failed with 1,269 “no” votes to 1,220 “yes” votes.

We look forward to reviewing exit survey data and further community input to determine our next steps in Facilities Planning.

Statement from the Fairport Central School District:

The District recently received an allegation regarding a now-former substitute teacher, Marc Hoffman. The claim involved an allegation of conduct which reportedly took place over social media outside of school, and involved a 17-year-old who is not and has not been a Fairport student.

Five Fairport High School musicians earn places in elite youth orchestra

Congratulations to Fairport High School students Jeslyn H., Laura W., Caitlyn M., Declan W. and Reid C.! All five musicians were chosen for the 2022-2023 Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra, the music school’s highest-level student ensemble. 

Students from 12 counties, including Monroe, compete every year for a seat in the HYSO.

“Chasing the American Dream” project inspires students to research and think critically about history
