The District has increased the daily rates for substitute teachers – no teaching experience necessary! You’ll need a Bachelor’s degree OR college coursework toward certification. Here are the new rates:

  • $140 per day for retired Fairport CSD teachers
  • $130 per day for retired teachers
  • $115 per day for certified and uncertified substitutes

Fairport hosts ROC2Change, Nov. 22 with School Without Walls & St. John Fisher College

Fairport students in grades 9-12 hosted the first in-person ROC2Change Student Summit since COVID-19, with partners from RCSD School Without Walls and  St. John Fisher College, with high school students from more than 30 high schools, Nov. 22 at SJFC.

This Fall 2021 ROC2Change Student Summit was organized and led by student planning committees with students from Fairport CSD (Minerva DeLand and Fairport High Schools) and School Without Walls.

Fairport’s ‘Make a Difference’ campaign donates more than $14,000 to Veterans Outreach Center

The Fairport school community is giving back to local veterans this week as part of another successful fundraising effort from the District’s annual Make a Difference (MAD) campaign.

Fairport, in conjunction with Crazy Dog T-Shirts, presented a check totaling $14,160 to Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) of Rochester on November 8.

Minerva DeLand students gear up for Unity Day

Pause Before You Post

Students at Minerva DeLand School are learning how to be positive online citizens in the days leading up to October 20, when they will celebrate and strive for a world without bullying! 

October 20 is Unity Day, a day created by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. Students and staff are invited to wear orange on that day to declare their commitment to a world without bullying.

Students will be dismissed 10 minutes early on Thursday, Oct. 7

All students will be released 10 minutes early on Thursday, Oct. 7 for the District’s annual drill required by New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations.

This drill also coincides with the District’s Safety Week, Oct. 12-15, in which students will learn and practice emergency safety drills. Fairport Schools practice these drills to refine communication processes,

Fairport donates more than $4,000 as part of 2020-21 Make a Difference campaign!
