Fairport’s School Budget Vote and Board Elections for the 2021-22 school year is being held in person on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Johanna Perrin Gymnasium. All COVID-19 protocols will be followed, including masking and social distancing. All budget details are available in the District newsletter, the Commentator, which was mailed to all residents. Voter Eligibility
To be eligible to vote on the school budget on May 18, 2021 a person must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a United States citizen
- Be a resident of the Fairport Central School District for at least 30 days preceding the vote
Voters do not have to own property in the school district. Voter registration is not required. Voters do not have to be a parent or have children in the school district.
Voting Procedure
Voters must provide one proof of residency such as a driver’s license, a non-driver ID card, voter registration card, or utility bill. Each voter is also required to sign his or her name and address.
Absentee Ballots
Residents unable to vote on the school budget on May 18 because of disability, illness, or travel may request applications for absentee ballots by contacting District Clerk Arielle LaBarbera at (585) 421-2010 or via email at alabarbera@fairport.org. Ballots must be returned to the District Clerk by 5 p.m. on May 18, the day of the vote.
