As part of its 2020-21 school year Make a Difference campaign, the Fairport Central School District, in conjunction with Crazy Dog T-Shirts, donated a total of $4,401 to the Mental Health Association of Rochester/Monroe County (MHA), presenting the check to the MHA CEO Mary Russo and the MHA Board Vice Chair Mike Shaw, June 15, at Crazy Dog T-Shirts, in Rochester.
Through its partnership with Crazy Dog T-Shirts and the support of the Fairport community, Fairport has raised more than $38,400 for local charities since the campaign’s inception in 2018. Funds were raised through the purchase of Make a Difference t-shirts and donations, all of which were donated by Crazy Dog T-Shirts.
The Make a Difference campaign is intended to build the students’ and community’s resilience, hope and altruism. During the 2020-21 school year, Fairport focused on the importance of the social emotional well-being of students and staff to help take care of each other and ourselves through its “Together” campaign.
This year’s donation to MHA, according to Russo, will be used specifically for the MHA suicide prevention campaign. For more information about MHS, visit www.mharochester.org.
Thank you, Fairport!
