Fairport’s kindergarten registration is in February
Children who will be five years old, on or before Dec. 1, 2020, are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year at Fairport Central School District. The District is encouraging parents to register their child during Kindergarten Registration in February.

Fairport announces new Director of Facilities
Aaron Smith has spent over 20 years working in building and grounds at local school districts, and beginning in January 2020 he will now serve as Fairport’s new Director of Facilities, replacing Ross Ciulla who is retiring after working for more than 35 years in public education.

Community invited to budget meeting on Jan. 30
The Fairport Central School District will host a Community Group Budget Meeting on Jan. 30, with the Board of Education and District administration, for community members to have an opportunity to engage in deeper discussions and provide input on the upcoming 2020-21 budget development process.

Smart Schools Plan – under 30-day review & accepting comments
The Fairport Central School District’s preliminary Smart Schools Project plan is currently under a 30-day review. Comments may be sent to the District Clerk by emailing alabarbera@fairport.org.
The Public Hearing for the plan will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Fairport begins its new Diversity Council
The Fairport Central School District launched its newly formed Diversity Council, a process that started in the fall, on Jan. 13 with the group’s first meeting.
At the first session, Superintendent Provenzano welcomed members, and the group engaged in small group activity to develop a common understanding of equity and access.
