The Fairport Central School District welcomes Dr. Tanya Wilson-Thevanesan, the District’s new Deputy Superintendent for School Improvement and Community Engagement, who was Board of Education approved at a Special Meeting on August 31. She will begin her new position in the District by October 1.
Dr. Wilson-Thevanesan comes to Fairport with 21 years of experience in the Rochester City School District where she has served in a variety of roles,
Construction crews continue their work at Fairport High School (FHS) as part of the 2019 voter-approved Fairport Forward Capital Improvement Project. Over the past several days, crews with Campus Construction and Labella Associates poured footings for the South courtyard, set wall forms for the North courtyard and installed a new permanent wall in the East hallway.
The 2021-22 edition of the District’s Welcome Back Guide is now available to view online and will be mailed to all District residents before the start of the 2021-22 school year, beginning on September 9.

Crews with Labella Associates and Campus Construction have completed demolition and excavation of the South courtyard, which will become a classroom. Over the past week, teams built forms to pour new foundation footings.
All Fairport students in grades K-12 can receive one free breakfast and/or one free lunch meal each school day, as part of a waiver extension through June 2022 as part of federal funds. All students opting for a free breakfast and/or lunch must take the required components offered through Food Service.

Fairport High School (FHS) will soon welcome two new assistant principals after they were Board of Education (BOE) approved at the August Board Workshop, replacing Mr. Kevin Page who is now a principal in the Wayne CSD, and Mrs. LeAnna Watt, who is now a principal in the Penfield CSD.
