Updates to Board of Education Public Comments for Meetings, effective Aug. 13

The Fairport Board of Education has updated its Policy #1514 “Public Expression at Board Meetings.” Effective beginning August 13, 2021, updates and a new sign-up procedure for individuals wishing to speak at Board of Education meetings are now in place.

The updates include:

  • 30 minutes may be set aside on regular meeting agendas to provide public comment by District employees and residents only.
  • Speakers shall have a maximum of three (3) minutes each.

Individuals who wish to speak during the public comments must sign-up in advance. For more information on this process, contact the District Clerk at (585) 421-2010.
