Fairport High School (FHS) will soon welcome two new assistant principals after they were Board of Education (BOE) approved at the August Board Workshop, replacing Mr. Kevin Page who is now a principal in the Wayne CSD, and Mrs. LeAnna Watt, who is now a principal in the Penfield CSD. The District appreciates Mr. Page’s and Mrs. Watt’s service and contributions and wish them the very best in their new roles as principals in their new districts.
Ryan Kuhn will be one of the new FHS Assistant Principals. The District conducted an extensive process after receiving more than 40 candidate applications, including screening interviews, committee interviews with multiple stakeholders and culminating with a student forum. Mr. Kuhn comes to Fairport from the Honeoye Falls Lima CSD where he served as a special education teacher, camp STEAM teacher and assistant varsity football coach. His varied experiences will be an incredible benefit to the FHS school community.
The District also announces that Madison Shepard will be one of the new Assistant Principals traveling between MD & FHS after an extensive process that included screening, committee interviews and culminated with a student forum. Her experiences as a math teacher, department head and instructional coach for the past eight years will be a tremendous asset to Fairport, and the District is excited to welcome her to its administrative team. She is a Fairport graduate and is excited to immerse herself back into the Fairport school community.
Ryan Kuhn and Madison Shepard will begin their new positions in August.
