Arlette Miller Smith, PhD is appointed new Fairport Board of Education member

The Fairport Central School District’s Board of Education appointed Arlette Miller Smith, PhD as a new board member at its January 19, 2021 Board of Education meeting, with her term beginning immediately. Miller Smith replaces Judy O’Leary-Sargeant, who resigned from her Board of Education seat on January 8, 2021 due to her family moving out of Fairport.

Return to High-Risk Winter Sports

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The Fairport Central School District has received information that Governor Cuomo and New York State, with the approval from county health departments, have been given the green light for high-risk winter sports to begin February 1. Our District will be coordinating with the Monroe County Department of Public Health and our athletic league to gather specific information and communicate it to you as soon as it becomes available.

Minerva DeLand encourages students to engage in remote learning through ‘LevelUp, LogIn’

The Minerva DeLand School is challenging students to ‘LevelUp, LogIn’ in an effort to improve (‘Level Up’) their remote engagement (‘Log In’) this school year.

The school is striving to increase connectedness and engagement with remote learning. So, in an effort to have fun, teachers will measure engagement for each class with a system created by staff.
