The Fairport Central School District Board of Education is composed of seven members elected by residents of the District. Members are elected for a term of three years and serve without pay. There are three candidates running for three open positions. The incumbents are Margaret Cardona and Joyce Kostyk. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to three-year terms beginning July 1,

The Fairport Central School District Board of Education voted to adopt the 2020-21 school budget at the Special Meeting of the Board of Education, May 11.
The Board of Education, in conjunction with District administration, has re-examined the 2020-21 school budget because of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic pause.

On June 9 as part of the Annual School Budget Vote is the Board Elections, and voters will elect three members to the Board of Education. Members are elected for a term of three years and serve without pay. These seats are currently held by Margaret Cardona, Kevin Glover and Joyce Kostyk.
Annual School Budget Vote is June 9, 2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Annual School Budget Vote and Board Election has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2020. All voting will take place via absentee ballot. Ballots will be mailed to voters’ homes and must be received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 to be valid.

The Fairport Central School District will host a Community Group Budget Meeting on Jan. 30, with the Board of Education and District administration, for community members to have an opportunity to engage in deeper discussions and provide input on the upcoming 2020-21 budget development process.

Smart Schools Plan – under 30-day review & accepting comments
The Fairport Central School District’s preliminary Smart Schools Project plan is currently under a 30-day review. Comments may be sent to the District Clerk by emailing alabarbera@fairport.org.
The Public Hearing for the plan will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m.
