The Fairport Central School District’s Board of Education appointed Arlette Miller Smith, PhD as a new board member at its January 19, 2021 Board of Education meeting, with her term beginning immediately. Miller Smith replaces Judy O’Leary-Sargeant, who resigned from her Board of Education seat on January 8, 2021 due to her family moving out of Fairport.

Quick Reference Districtwide Safety Plan– under 30-day review & accepting comments
The Fairport Central School District’s 2020-21 Quick Reference Districtwide Safety Plan is currently under a 30-day review. Comments may be sent to the District Clerk by emailing tbuffa@fairport.org.
The Public Hearing for this Plan will take place at the Board of Education Workshop on Monday,
2020-21 School Calendar Changes: New 1st Day of School Sept. 10
The Fairport Board of Education approved changes to the 2020-21 School Calendar at the August 18, 2020 Board of Education meeting that changes the first day of school from September 8 to September 10 to allow faculty and staff extra days to prepare for the school year, and changes December 23 to a Superintendent Conference Day.
Special Board Workshop on Monday, July 20; Streamed LIVE at 5 p.m.
The Board of Education will hold a special Board Workshop on Monday, July 20, 2020, beginning at 5 p.m. The meeting will be streamed live on YouTube.
During the Workshop, the Board will review progress on the 2019 voter-approved Capital Improvement Project, Fairport Forward. The Board will discuss the impact of the current health environment that should be considered as the capital project evolves. Read more »
