Hello! I am thrilled to be serving students at Gamewell Middle, Collettsville, and Valmead School. I love opening students’ minds to the joys of learning and look forward to working with your child. I began my teaching career at Gamewell Middle School as an Eighth Grade ELA Teacher in 2006. I decided to go back to school where I earned my AIG Certification and transitioned into working with the gifted students throughout the county. I am excited to be back as a brave!

Gandhi is quoted as saying, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." We should be the kind of person you think would make this world a better place, and that means lead by example.

Why I Became An Educator
During my own school days, I had such positive experiences with my teachers who provided academics and guidance that lasted beyond the grade level. Then, my senior year, my English teacher encouraged me to pursue a future career in teaching. I am so thankful she was able to see my strengths.

Activites
I am happily married to my husband, Jeff and have two grown sons as well as two grandsons. I was rescued by my fur baby, Duke, who is a Siberian Husky. He can talk and says, I love you! My hobbies include reading, traveling, and watching Tarheel Basketball! My husband is a Duke fan, so my house can get really crazy during basketball season!
